December Happenings
December was a busy month, a little busier IRL than URL but still a fair amount to report. I spent a lot of time in December preparing some projects that will be coming in soon and collaborating with old friends and new friends on really fun things. I also started the month off with a great interview with Ureterocele, something which helped cement our connection across the Pacific and I expect to bear more fruit in the future. The holidays interrupted my interview schedule for a few weeks but I've got a couple good ones coming soon.
The holidays were a happy offline distraction from the online churn of music production but I was happy to help bring together two excellent compilations with the Children of Vapor crew (which grew by 3 in December alone!). We had our first Christmas compilation and I was able to get a bunch of our friends from the Vaporwave Alive festival to contribute some truly excellent holiday jams. We also had the first listening party on Bandcamp with this album right before Christmas, which was fun and felt appropriately festive. And I'm particularly proud of the track that I made for it so give it a listen even if the holiday season is over. And then the next week we followed it up with our end of the year Best of CoV 2025 compilation . HD did a great job working through our whole album output in 2025 and picking a great track from each one. I hope that this will serve not just as a "best of" but also an introduction to our first year in operation and the breadth and quality of what we are up to.

Besides the Christmas comp, the main way to catch my music in December would've been to follow my now-frequent collaborator Ishiiburidai since he did a bunch of cool stuff that I was happy to join in on. Zapping the Wave is a set he made for Cloudpunk 2025 that features a song (and video) that will be pretty instrumental in my upcoming album. Channel 0 is an extremely cool collaborative project started by him and ＳｕｉｔｅＢ that focused on new artists in the signalwave community. It features three songs of mine that I dug up from my earlier music making sessions and I hope to follow that up with an EP of that music at some point. The whole Channel 0 crew has been great to connect with and it's already sparked a bunch of new stuff to come in the near future!
I think the last thing to report is that I'm back in the video making game! After finally upgrading my computer I was glad to join in and make a video for the Children of Vapor release of 𓋹. While my video wasn't quite the smash hit as the one made by BAИSHI I did have fun making it and it was a great jump start back into the visuals game. Definitely more videos by me coming soon. More everything! The January report will probably be a long one.
